Lemon Parmesan Brussel Sprouts

1lb Brussel sprouts-Farmer’s Market
Organic Coconut oil-Target
Lemon juice-Ralphs
Grated Parmesan cheese-Trader Joes
Crushed Garlic-Trader Joes
Pepper-Smart & Final
Himilayan Pink Salt-Ross and also at Trader Joes

Whenever sauteing, I almost always start the same way
Pull out a skillet that’s large enough that your sprouts aren’t crowded upon each other
Turn heat to medium
Swirl about a tbsp of coconut oil into the skillet
Spoon about a tbsp of crushed garlic into the skillet
Sprinkle some salt into the skillet
Spread the garlic around with whatever utensil you’re using; I prefer a bamboo spatula
While the garlic simmers for about 2 mins, chop the brussel sprouts in half
Toss the sprouts into the skillet
Season with pepper and salt to taste
Mix the sprouts around a bit so the seasoning is evenly distributed
Let the sprouts cook for about 2,3 mins and then spritz with about 3 squirts of lemon juice
When the sprouts start to brown, flip them to crisp up slightly on the other side
I don’t like to brown both sides because I want them to still be a bit crunchy
Sprinkle grated parmesan on the sprouts
I eyeball them, but they’re probably on the heat about 2 or so more minutes
Scoop those babies up and serve! Definitely garnish with a bit more parmesan if you like and…
